Classic Bourbon Cocktail 37% ABV
The composition of the OLD FASHIONED allegedly first appeared in Hudson, New York in 1806 but the name was coined by the bartenders at the Pendennis Club in Louisville, Kentucky in 1882. The OLD FASHIONED, arguably the first drink referred to as a cocktail, made a return to prominence when portrayed as Don Draper’s cocktail choice in the show Mad Men. Indulging in an OLD FASHIONED doesn’t mean you have to reminisce about old times - you can simply relive them. Enjoy the combination of bourbon, simple syrup and bitters, served on the rocks in a tumbler and garnished with orange zest.
Tasting Notes
On the nose: intense, toasty, vanilla and blood orange
On the palate: full body, tart fruits, sweet and spicy notes
Finish: long and zesty, cinnamon, smoky stave wood
Overall: wonderfully rich and zesty - and intensely old-fashioned
Preperation
Pour into a tumbler filled with ice cubes and stir well, drop one dried orange slice into the cocktail; to finish it off, spray with the atomizer.
