Classic Bourbon Cocktail 27% ABV
The Boulevardier dates back to Prohibition era in the United States, when Bartender Harry McElhone fled to Europe and opened the legendary Harry’s New York Bar in Paris. Some say Harry created the Boulevardier for Erskine Gwynne, an affluent American who moved to Paris and started The Boulevardier magazine. The complex but remarkably full flavored Boulevardier is a descendent of the Negroni, but subs in bourbon for gin. The recipe calls for a subtle combination of bourbon whiskey, Italian red bitter liqueur and Italian vermouth. Enjoy in a chilled tumbler, garnished with orange zest.
