Classic Gin Cocktail 25.5% ABV
The Martinez is considered to be the mighty Martini’s ancestor. Self-confessed Martinez aficionados attribute the drink to Julio Richelieu in the late 1800s. A miner came into a local saloon with a fistful of nuggets and asked Julio to serve something special. Since then the Martinez is the missing link between the Manhattan and the present-day Martini. To be reminded why some cocktails survive more than a season, sip the balanced combination of gin, Italian vermouth and cherry liqueur with bitters, in a chilled Martini glass garnished with orange zest.

Tasting Notes
On the nose: cherry, Coke, sloe and juniper
On the palate: silky soft, tangy, nutmeg and mandarin
Finish: long-lasting and dominated by citrus
Overall: a wonderfully rich and elegant cocktail

Preperation
Pour into a mixing glass filled with ice cubes, stir well and strain into a cocktail glass; drop one dried orange slice into the cocktail; to finish it off, spray with the atomizer.
